A Nigeria-based energy oriented conglomerate is looking for a Production Manager.
The successful candidate will form part of a team tasked with best-in-class planning and execution of production operations
both onshore and in the deep water Niger delta basin. This position holds responsibility for managing the effective planning, supervision and implementation of all production activities.
Key Deliverables:
• Maximise optimum oil/gas production within safety, environmental, legislative and company requirements and constraints
• Ensure immediate corrective action is taken to maximise production and control hazardous situations, and to take whatever executive action is necessary to achieve this.
• Co-ordinate with the Maintenance and Logistics Supervisors to plan and interface all maintenance and logistics activities related to production operations
• Monitor operations and submit proposals for production improvement and cost saving
• Prepare and execute departmental budget
• Control of the permit to work system to ensure a safe system of work for all on-board to maximise equipment and plant availability
• Responsible for training and development of staff to meet organisational competence requirements and the aspirations of individuals
Qualifications/Experience:
• University Degree in Petroleum, Production, Reservoir Engineering or a related field.
• Seasoned petroleum engineer with a minimum of 20 years relevant experience with a major E&P Company
• Good understanding of reservoir/petroleum engineering and operational issues as well as a good appreciation of completions, production monitoring, allocation techniques and flow assurance.
• Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting production problems
• HSEQ leadership skills, coaching and mentoring skills, incident investigation skills, knowledge of the most common HSE tools and skills
• Excellent organisational and planning skills to set and exceed established goals, schedules and deadlines
• Engage with people and work in multinational culture.
Experience in most of the following areas will be an advantage;
• Well integrity and surveillance
• Surface and Sub-Sea wells
• Completions, Simulations, Reservoir Chemistry and fluid compatibility
• Corrosion surveillance, Erosion, Water injection
• Produced Water Management, Well intervention techniques and New Technologies
Knowledge/Skills:
• Proven ability to successfully manage integrated subsurface asset
• Sound knowledge of hydrocarbon reserves estimation and associated uncertainties/risks.
• Sound knowledge of the concepts of petroleum and engineering planning and economics.
• Sound knowledge of E&P budgeting, CAPEX and OPEX concepts
• Adequate exposure to JV and PSC operations and environments, and to bidding processes
