Position: Statistics Manager
Responsibilities/Duties:
Based in Abuja the ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of Data collection and different studies which include:
■Collecting, processing, analyzing and publishing the production, inventory and capacity data to a defined and tight schedule.
■Conducting ongoing market research on market and demand drivers in local markets as useful marketing tool and for strategic purposes
■Developing contacts with representatives of member companies. Statical staff of member and non-member companies. Regular contact with statistical correspondents around the world are required, in order to establish or develop personal contact to ensure quality control of reported data and the smooth running of the system.
■Be in charge of monitoring other sources of published data, maintaining a network with his/her counterparts, insofar as confidentiality and anti-trust rules allow keeping update with published reports of production, capacity and inventory.
■Understand, interpret and produce macroeconomic, political, and social factors which affect the country and regions in which the business operates through statistical research and reporting
■Identify and interpret market trend, growth and potential, through statistical data reporting
■Conduct research and analyze the existing customer base and customer buying behavior to support the member companies businesses.
■Be responsible for answering all enquiries about statistical matters and preparing any statistical papers or presentations for the Association.
■Any other job as may be assigned from time to time.
Education:
■HND/B.Sc. in Economics/ Statistics
AGE: Between 25 and 32 years old
Experience:
■Minimum of two (2) years practical experience on Research and Data Collection, Marketing experience is required.
Special Skill:
■Good analytical skills, Verbal and Written Communication Skills, Proficiency in Ms Suites (Ms Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook) quest for probing and achieving result and excellent reporting skills
Other Requirement:
Smartness, Discretion and dexterity, Ability to Work alone or with little supervision, field-work capability, interpersonal Relationship, Feedback, Time Management, Self Motivation, Flexibility, Pressure Management and confidentiality.
