Role Summary/Purpose This position can be based in Lagos, Luanda or Johannesburg.

As a key member of the Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) Human Resources team and reporting into Sub-Saharan Africa Human Resources Leader, this position will be responsible for operationalizing HR processes & procedures, including creating regional Centers of Excellence (COEs) across Sub-Saharan Africa within Energy Infrastructure.

Essential Responsibilities With a focus on standardization and process excellence, responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Operationalizing SSA HR Goals & Objectives via working closely with the functional HR leaders and HRMs to develop and standardize HR processes across the region.

• Developing the appropriate dashboards/internal metrics & operating rhythms that further support the execution of SSA HR Goals & Objectives.

• Continuously evaluating and driving process improvement, customer satisfaction, and stakeholder communications.

• Leveraging best practices (both internal and external) to ensure SSA HR processes are best in class.

• Conducting regular reviews with HRMs and key stakeholders to identify CTQs, measure synergies and cost savings by leveraging 6Sigma/Lean methodologies.

• Working with Global/Pole COE teams to help implement further regionalization within the function.

• Ownership for data quality for the region (OHR).

• Developing and maintaining the appropriate communication tools and systems that drive transparency and awareness re: HR processes and responsibilities.

• Assist in regional specific localization efforts (including documentation and reporting) as aligned to the local statutory requirements while providing guidance re: regulatory interpretation and compliance.

• Assisting in the development of organization specific work force plans in support of key business needs in a dynamic, changing environment

Qualifications/Requirements

• Minimum 7 years professional work experience, preferably across different GE businesses.

• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.

• High energy level, driven with positive enthusiasm & a pragmatic approach.

• Demonstrated leadership and ability to work in a matrix team environment.

• Excellent facilitation skills, understanding of change management.

• Strong written & oral communication skills with the ability to influence all levels of the organization and multicultural/international environments.

• Self-starter, able to work independently but values being part of a strong team.

• HR/OD experience.

• Ability to travel up to 50+ % during the first 12 months in role.

• Fluency in English (oral and written) required.

Desired Characteristics

• Project management, facilitation, analytical and complex problem-solving skills. GB/BB certification a plus.
