Purpose of the Job:
To maintain the technical integrity of the integrated Production systems - to ensure that production and environmental targets are realised and that work is executed in a safe and efficient manner.
Experience/Qualifications Needed:
• Competent Discipline Maintenance Technician with minimum of 6 years field maintenance / operations exposure.
• Relevant technical qualification in maintenance discipline (ie, ONC, OND or equivalent).
• Good communicator and organiser.
Principal Accountabilities:
1) Asset accountabilities:
Asset includes: Asset includes control and automation, e.g. safeguarding system, DCS, Field bus, field instrumentation of oil and gas facilities.
For the asset mentioned above, the jobholder will:
• Execute Field Maintenance activities in accordance with maintenance schedule / plan.
• Execute non-routine/breakdown maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot abnormalities arising in the plant and oilfield equipment.
• Execute all assigned work tasks in line with agreed plant operating philosophies, and in line with current Maintenance Craft Procedures and work practices.
• Report to Maintenance Supervisor on status of daily activities and work progress
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor to control and plan work activities.
• Interface with other maintenance/service department staff to coordinate breakdown or routine maintenance work on facilities and plants.
• Signatory for Permit to Work activities within area of responsibility – as licensed and advised by Supervisor.
• Where applicable, provide input into the 90day and 14 day planning cycles.
• Give guidance to Assistant or Trainee technicians in the team - to aid their development.
• Take effective action to control emergencies and contain hazards within area of responsibility.
2) HSE accountabilities:
• Accountable for ensuring implementation and adherence to the requirements of the HSE management System and those specific accountabilities documented in PR 1053 HSE Organization structure & responsibilities and summarised in the HSE Policy, Commitment and Accountability booklet (December 1997)
• Ensure HSE systems are in place before starting a job, ensure proper use of tools and PPE, conduct regular site visits, advice co-workers on potential hazards, check safety equipment, notify management of unsafe working conditions, report HSE incidents, actively participate in HSE meetings, action the Asset HSE plan and attend mandatory HSE courses.
