Our client is a global group of energy and petrochemical companies. Employing over 100,000 personnel in around 90 countries their strategy is to reinforce their position as a leader in the Oil & Gas industry. They are currently looking to recruit a Construction Engineer based in Nigeria.
As Construction Engineer your main responsibilities will include:
•Understudy the scope of construction work planned to be executed at the period
•Advise and support implementation of construction HSE to ensure attainment of Goal Zero
•Provide project construction expertise advice throughout the period on all the indicated projects
•Review project/construction execution plans, and advise any amendment/update if required
•Advise on post-fabrication packaging & load-out
•Review construction resource requirements/deployment schedule and advise any amendment/update if required
•Make proposal and advise on resolution of construction issues as may arise before/during installation works
•Analyze multiple proposals (own & other's) and advise best way-forward in resolving construction issues
•Make contacts/network with other construction experts at global level to provide further technical support if required
•Advise on pre-commissioning activities
•Review/advise on technical/construction report(s) as may be required. Generate report when required
•Hold/participate in daily review meetings with project team during installation works
•Contribute to documentation of lessons learnt on the projects
Qualifications and experience required:
•Adequate prior experience in brown-field offshore modification/upgrade/installation works (on live plant, partial shutdown, total plant shutdown conditions)
•Knowledge/experience of Bonga FPSO would be an added advantage
•Good knowledge and experience in High Pressure piping ( ANSI 2500 Class) installation and alignment with Rotating Machinery
•Working knowledge of a broad range of facilities, project & construction management systems, tools and practices
•Good knowledge of applicable best-practice construction/installation tools & equipment on an offshore brown-field facility
•Ability to consider/analyze multiple proposals (own & other's) and offer effective advice
•Excellent inter-personal relationship and communications skills - face to face & virtual (verbal/writing/drawing/sketches)
•Ability to effectively function in a multi-discipline, multi-ethnic environment
This is a contract position with an expected duration of four months.
The rate for this position is negotiable.
