Full Job Description Our client is a global provider of services and engineering solutions and work in diverse environments offering the scale and scope to approach any territory or technical challenge. Employing over 20,000 personnel they operate in around 40 countries worldwide. They are currently looking to recruit an Engineer Manager based in Lagos, Nigera.
As Engineer Manager your main responsibilities will include:
* Management of the multi disciplined engineering team
* To achieve project completion to the project specifications
* Accountable for the quality of engineering deliverables
* Promote the development of the Nigerian workforce
* Assist with general Project Management duties
* Ensure clients engineering personnel are engaged
* Ensure that all project Health Safety and environmental policies are complied with
* Promote the companies engineering image internally and externally
* Ensure that technical compliance with all design requirements is met
* Manager all engineering personnel such that personal development aspirations are achieved
* Deliver project deliverables on time and within approved budget
* Ensure that all engineering is carried out to the highest standard and meets the client’s requirements
* Liaise with the clients engineering team
* Ensure that personnel and engineering tools are available when required
* Promote the training of the Nigerian workforce
* Endeavour to make the engineering team work as a single entity
* Promote the training and develop of all personnel to achieve personal aspirations
* Manage the engineering subcontract(s)
* Report engineering status to individual project managers, to Companies Project Director and to client
Qualifications and experience required:
* First Degree in relevant field
* Post Graduate qualification such as MBA Experience
* Degree from recognized institution
* Able to work independently within the technical specialty
* Proven ability to handle complex designs, conduct studies and technical evaluations, coordinate and supervise small projects and solve difficult technical problems
* Hold a Professional Engineering Registration
* Personal qualities, aptitudes and skills
* Ability to analyse and draw decisions from Project management data
* Team player willing to share knowledge across the Business Services team
* Able to develop close working relationships across multiple project functions to derive common process
This is a contract position.
The rate for this position is negotiable.
