Technical Support Lead - Upstream
Overall Purpose of Job:
The Technical Support Lead - Upstream, as part of the Service Delivery Team, provides 2nd line technical support, systems administration, network planning, project management and implementation to the users. Focusing on issues resolution and IT stragegy for our upstream portifolio
Responsibilities:
•Maintaining computers and communication systems/equipment, liaising with maintenance contractors to ensure operations disruptions do not occur due to malfunctioning systems or network
•Generating system performance statistics, raise issues and recommend appropriate solutions
•Constant engagement of upstream stakeholders with view of gathering requirements and appropriate IT solutions
•Work to ensure that the department meet and exceeds user expectations as regards system services in line with SLAs.
•Provide technical consulting on acquisition of hardware and software, including configuration, troubleshooting and enhancement
•Collaborate effectively with peers in IT and other departments
•Installs, configures, tests, and maintains hardware including personal computers, servers, printers, and other peripherals.
•Assisting with the development and execution of disaster/recovery strategies/plans., and implement accordingly
•Providing End-User training
•Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Service Delivery & Project Manager from time to time
Person Specification:
•1st degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related area.
•years cognate work experience, in a reputable organization/Institution
