Role Summary/Purpose Demonstrates accountability for functional, business and broad company objectives.
Improves ERP system and expands financial services/activities locally available to support regional business growth. Integrates processes and controls that both meet business needs across the organization and target region and remote site specific risks. Involved in long-term planning.
This role contributes to the overall strategy and manages complex issues within functional areas of expertise.
Essential Responsibilities • Serves as a business partner to the operating team to drive business initiatives, growth, and profitability.
• Support the negotiation and analysis of Long Term Service agreements by coordinating with the operations, commercial and finance teams locally and in HQ.
• Support the commercial teams on deals by analysing potential risks and proposing timely solutions.
• Provides insights into business performances and visibility on local results and initiatives through regular management reviews. Works closely and supports the finance leads in the multiple P&Ls that make up Global Services and Turbo Machinery in HQ.
• Coordinates localised month-end, quarter end and year-end close and generates all deliverables for management reporting.
• Ensure compliance with all revenue recognition guidance for Services and any other equipment passing through assigned facilities. Ensure cut-off testing is in place and documented
• Ensures controllership through appropriate metrics, consistency and accuracy of accounting processes across the operations, and safeguard of assets.
• Drives controllership awareness and processes through operations teams
• Optimises the use of internal shared service providers (GBS, GENPACT, GECARS), ensuring full transfer of all applicable processes and intensifying interaction.
• Support the Country Management in driving operational rhythm within the organization by coordinating cross-functional meetings and solving issues.
Qualifications/Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Fluent in English (written and Verbal)
Desired Characteristics • GE FMP Graduate or CAS graduate
• MBA is preferred
• GB or BB certified
• Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Familiarity with GE financial processes and cycles
• Excellent skills for leading change and flexibility to proactively cope with dynamic, fast paced environment
• Established analytical and project management ability with Controllership background
• Proficiency in IT applications and ability to recognise and take advantage of digitisations opportunities
