SERVICE Reporting to the head of Terminal Leader, provide technical assistance, assist with marine cargo operations. Support terminal leader with the management of the hull and export systems in compliance with normal operating practice for tanker hulls |
ACTIVITIES
1. Assist with marine cargo operations. Support terminal leader with the management of the hull and export systems in compliance with normal operating practice for tanker hulls
2. Assist with the planning and monitoring of stability and cargo loading and transfer. Organises with production operators the different tasks related to crude oil handling under the supervision the terminal leader and the head of production.
3. Follow up of slop water discharge and bilge water discharge (filling of oil record books as appropriate)
4. Maintain relationship with DPR rep on board to ensure that he receives all the cargo information needed.
5. Plan and assist with export tanker cargo operations. Responsible for quality and quantity for terminal export operations, follow up of laboratory procedures (sampling , analysis in accordance with commercial quality recommendations, water debottoming, salinity BSW and MeOH content)
6. Assist with planning for inert gas and gas freeing operation when required Coordination for Crude and ballast tank preparation and follow up for entry maintenance and inspection activities
7. Monitoring of potable water and Diesel oil quantities on board and supply
8. Ensure first line maintenance and inspection is carried out on all cargo equipment
9. Set up and update cargo handling procedures and general marine instructions on site as per Company procedures
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND
Qualification: Marine certification as a deck officer
Professional Experience (number of years): minimum 10 years experience in FPSO or tanker operations
JOB DIMENSION
Context and environment: Nigeria.
CLIENT project is a new field development in 750 m water depth and 100 km south of the Nigerian coast.
CLIENT is being developed with 42 subsea wells connected to a 2MMbbls storage FPSO via 2 production loops, 2 water injection lines and 1 gas injection line.
OTHER OBSERVATIONS ON THE SPECIFICITIES OF THE JOB AND ITS ENVIRONMENT
The significantly larger Nigerian Content for this FPSO compared to industry experience brings an additional challenge to this project.
Capable of maintaining good interpersonal relations with the ability to work with a multi-national workforce.
